therapeutic creative sessions
Inclusive, art-based workshops of all shapes and sizes for any age.
Workshops are tailored to suit your needs and budget. I can offer examples of previous workshops if you're not sure what you're after or I'll happily facilitate any ideas you already have.
Previous workshops have included activities such as bookbinding, screen/block printing,
large scale and collaborative painting, themed portraiture, designing and printing your own bag/t-shirt, pom-pom and tassel garlands, drawing 101 etc.
I also have a unique XXXL (5ft) paper roll dispenser, paired with giant painting and drawing tools and an giant paint palette which can be used as a warm-up drawing excercise.
Everything made during the workshop can be taken away with you and photos of your workshop are also available upon request.
These classes are slightly less educational than the usual life drawing class and are best suited for a hen party or (adult) birthday celebration. The sessions last around 1-1½ hours and include drawing games focused around your nude life model. The full details, as well as preferences on the level of nudity, the games/drawing ratio and other variables can be discussed before booking.
Parties are completely bespoke and tailored to you and your child's needs. Whether you'd like a themed party, or just a creative play session, I can provide all the materials and experience to make a creative party that ticks all the boxes and runs smoothly. I can come to you or to an external venue, and will clean up the party space when it's all over.
I'm fully DBS checked and have experience working with large groups of children ranging from 2-15.
Party bags / photographs of the party / snacks / music / extra party games & invitations are all available.
I have a keen interest and belief in the therapeutic capabilities of creative practice.
I offer creative sessions, with a focus on mindfulness and escape from the stresses of everyday life. Sessions can be tailored to suit any age or group size and be focused around a number of different art activities.
During my degree, I completed a first class thesis in the benefits of art therapy in prisons and have worked with HM Prison Dartmoor to implement some of the core practices of using art as a therapeutic tool. This experience has enabled me to create a relationship with Macmillan to run creative sessions at a local support centre for cancer patients.
